Etornam, is an MS in Electrical Engineering Alumni at Columbia University, excels in melding fields like signals, information, data, learning and control, and smart electric energy. His involvement in graduate research and teaching roles enhances his academic career by fostering synergy between knowledge creation and education.

He received his BS degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST), Ghana, where he was recognized as the university valedictorian. At Columbia, his innovative work includes the development of a reduction algorithm for Piecewise Affine (PWA) models for real-time motor control and the utilization of Model Predictive Control (MPC) for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) control—a blend of theoretical insight and practical application.

Etornam's research interests lie in the nexus of optimization, control, and machine learning, especially their transformative applications in power systems.
