Dr. Peng Wang (Senior Member, IEEE) is a postdoctoral research scientist at Columbia University, New York, USA. He received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Sheffield, Sheffield, U.K., in 2025, under the supervision of Prof. Ziqiang Zhu (IEEE Fellow). From 2025 to 2026, he was a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Manchester, Manchester, U.K. He also serves as a Guest Editor for IET Electric Power Applications and Energies, and has been involved in organizing special sessions as a chair for CIEEC 2026.
His current research interests include constrained optimal control, online parameter estimation, sensorless control, and multi-three-phase drive systems for permanent magnet synchronous machines.
