Visiting Scholar
Steyn Guelen earned his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in 2023, with his thesis on power line communication. He is currently pursuing a Master's in the Electromechanics and Power Electronics track at TU/e, and is a visiting student at Columbia University’s MPlab.
Alongside his academic pursuits, Steyn has gained practical experience in the Eindhoven region through various part-time roles, contributing to the design and manufacturing of PCBAs for power and digital applications.
His primary research interests are power electronics with a focus on electrified transportation and energy-storage. Other research interests include battery management and smart grid applications.
