Personal Profile

Weizhong Wang is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree in MPLab, Columbia University, USA. Before he joined Columbia University, he was a Master's student at McMater University, Canada focusing on developing state-of-art battery management systems. Since his Master's, he started to work closely with industry while keeping the vision on the advanced development of battery management systems and charging techniques. 

His main research areas are DC-DC converter design for battery balancing application, global battery balancing algorithms, SOx estimation, including cell-level and module level (48V) SOC and SOH estimation by using various estimation techniques.
